Getting Advice from the Experts

Evidence suggests that insurers are investigating and refusing claims on a more regular basis.  This can cause major headaches as people find their claims are rejected or settlement offers significantly reduced.

In a recent Times article director of Claim Experts Richard Hanson-James outlined some of the cases we have helped resolve for broker clients where, in our view, insurers were being far from fair.

The Times, Saturday10th September 2011
“Richard Hanson-James, director of Claim Experts, a loss adjuster that works on behalf of policyholders, deals with cases in which insurance claims have been rejected by insurers. In one case he is fighting, the insurer refused to pay out when a tenant stopped paying rent and caused £10,000 of damage to the property, including ripping out electrical sockets. The insurer refused to cover the damage, claiming that it was ‘wear and tear’ and arguing that the landlord needed to provide a crime reference number even though the police refused to give one because it was a civil matter.”

Claim Experts helps resolve dozens of cases like this every month and can help your clients when they come up against such problems and with advice on claims in general. Whilst the Times article specifically related to landlord insurance, Claim Experts can help you and your clients with claims in any class of insurance.
